Who We Are
Laura Brooks Cantrell, Managing Broker
Passionate: Entering the real estate field in 1985, and a licensed real estate broker since 1988, Laura’s expertise in real estate includes sales, leasing and property management of all property types.
Leadership: Laura currently manages Wiley Brooks Company, Inc. and all of its operations and clientele, some of which have retained our services for more than 25 years.
Volunteer: Earning her Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®), Laura’s dedication to the field led her to serve as Chapter President of the Alaska Chapter from 2005-2007. Not one to stop there, she served as IREM®’s Region 12 Vice President serving Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana from 2011 to 2012. In addition, she’s a current member of BOMA (Building Owners & Managers Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, an Accredited Buyers Representative and a graduate of the Realtors Institute.
Achievements: Through her intense dedication to the industry and IREM®, Laura was recognized as the Certified Property Manager® of the Year in both 2005 and 2006.

Michael Taylor, Assistant Property Manager
Introduction: Michael’s career in property management began in 2008. Joining Wiley Brooks Company 2014, Michael serves as our Property Management Assistant.
Education: Michael was honored to be selected as the first intern at UAA’s Property Management and Real Estate School where he earned an Associates Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a Real Estate and Property Management emphasis.
Service: Michael directs all property management functions at Wiley Brooks and supervises the daily activities and relationships with Wiley Brooks personnel, contractors, suppliers and vendors among others. Through formal site inspections of the interior and exterior of all buildings, he ensures the health and safety of all properties. His prior background in the construction field enables him to quickly identify maintenance and repair requirements.
Furthering Knowledge: Michael is currently enrolled in course work to earn his Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Wiley Brooks, Founder
Originator: Founder Wiley Brooks received his degree in Business Management from Mississippi State University. After college, he became a career officer in the United States Air Force and advanced to the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. Emerging from retirement in 1977, he became a licensed real estate agent specializing in property management in 1978 and established the Wiley Brooks Company, Inc. in 1982.
Knowledge: Mr. Brooks has extensive experience in property and asset management and investment consulting. Management, Asset Management and Investment Consulting services
Volunteer: Mr. Brooks is a member and past president of the Alaska Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) and was awarded the Certified Property Manager of the Year in 1986.
Retired at Last: Mr. Brooks retired from his many life-careers in 2010 and proudly enjoys watching his daughter continue to excel in the family business and real estate industry at large.
